First Announcement The Maintenance Science Summer School 2015 Tokyo, Japan July 27-31, 2015

OVERVIEW

We are pleased to announce that the 8th Maintenance Science Summer School will be held this summer. This event is organized by Institute of Fluid Science Tohoku University, Tohoku University Program for Fundamental Research and Human Resources Development towards Nuclear Decommissioning, and the Japan Society of Maintenology. The summer school aims at providing participants with the opportunity to learn practice and theory for the maintenance activities of nuclear power plants. It also intends to the friendship exchange of students and young researchers in Asian countries. We expect participations of graduate students especially who eager to learn the maintenance activity from academic point of view, and contribute to the enhancement of maintenance of nuclear power plants in a future.

SCHEDULE (Tentative)

Date: July 27-31th (including Lectures, Discussion and Presentations, Laboratory visits, Nuclear power plant visit and Free activities)
Venue: Engineering Building-8, The University of Tokyo
Welcome Reception: Evening of July 27th
Banquet: Evening of July 29th
Accommodation: Tatsuoka Annex of Sanjo Conference Hall / (1 person/ Room or 2 persons/ Room) http://www.sanjo.nc.u-tokyo.ac.jp/tatsuoka/

COST

No fee is required for registration. Daily expenses for students from oversea (including accommodation fee) during your stay in Tokyo from July 26th to 31th will be covered by the host. Please note, however, that the participants from oversea will have to pay for their own airfare transport cost to and from University of Tokyo.
