The Japan Society of Maintenology has promoted international activities to sophisticate maintenance activities in nuclear power plants. As part of activities, the International Seminar on Maintenance Science and Technology for Nuclear Power Plant will be held at Sendai International Center in Sendai, Japan from November 2nd to 4th, 2010, which is supported by Japan Society of Maintenology and Tohoku University Global COE Program: World Center of Education and Research for Trans-disciplinary Flow Dynamics. The objectives of this seminar are to discuss the possibility of “Maintenology” as a trans-disciplinary science, and to exchange the updated information on advanced maintenance for nuclear power plants. This seminar was originally initiated by the Japan Society of Maintenology as “The first Japan-Korea Joint Workshop on Maintenance Technology for Nuclear Power Plant” which was held at Pusan National University, Busan, Korea on January 24-25, 2008. The second one was held as the Asian workshop on Maintenance Technology for Nuclear Power Plant, and held at Institute of Fluid Science, Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan on January 20-21, 2009. This seminar is organized with a prospect of developing an International Conference on Maintenance Science and Technology for Nuclear Power Plant which calls for papers from all over the world. This time, it consists of invited talks and panel session to discuss future activities.

・2.  Publications
	Slides presented in the seminar will be published and distributed to all attendees. Presenters will be encouraged to submit a paper which will be peer reviewed for inclusion in a special issue of E-Journal of Advanced Maintenance  published by the Japan Society of Maintenology
